Some things people around the world eats weirds me out.
Although.. I wonder how it tastes.. I am sort of..
Disgusted but at the same time would like to taste it at some point. If that makes sense.

'gator is excellent. So is iguana. Horse and dog are still on my list of things to try.

I too am interested in the delicious horse flesh.
Recently I ate some sliced bull's heart marinated in vinegar and olive oil with olives, sliced onions and some spices. It was pretty delicious.

Apparently horse is pretty close to beef. There was a big scandal over here in the Netherlands when one of our large meat companies was found out to sell horse steaks as beef. No one tasted the difference

And please don't eat dog. The countries that do eat dog meat aren't exactly known for having much interest in animal rights. The meat dogs are kept in the most abominable of conditions. If you insist on tasting dog, go to your local pet shelter and ask for some Scooby Doe roadkill. At least those had a better life than a dog bred for meat.

Similar thing in the UK a few years back. Lots of horse found in things advertised as beef in supermarkets.

A (presumably) Russian BuK missile shot down a civilian airliner, Malaysian Airlines flight MH17, over the Ukraine in july 2014, killing 283 passengers, the majority of whom were Dutch (it's still a pretty big national trauma here), and the rest for the largest part Australian and Malaysian. A lot of the passengers were on their way to the international Aids conference. Quite a few of the world's leading virologists and Aids specialists were killed, making it also a big blow for world health.

Oh, oh dear, oh dear. That can't be real. It amuses me, but I know very well that I wouldn't be amused one bit if it was real.

To devil's advocate it a bit, that attack is also the only thing people in the West associate with the BuK missile system. For good reason, mind. That's the only context most people have heard of it in. So it's not unreasonable that the train of thought goes BuK = MH17 = Russia taking the piss with this.
However, it's, as far as I know, a pretty old weapon system, and it's not unreasonable that a children's furniture firm in St. Petersburg making a military-themed bed would go for it. _{Who'd want to give their child a BMP themed bed? Thing would probably be a death trap.} I don't know how iconic it is in the East, but I imagine it's at least familiar. It's a terrible PR miss-step, but that's in the West. I don't know how big or well-staffed that firm is, but it's difficult to say if no-one simply didn't think of the BuK = Hideous Treason, Death and Destruction association abroad, or if they didn't care, or if they're deliberately playing on it for the lulz.

Maybe someone in an office somewhere is looking at all this, going "Well, I told them we should've gone for the Akula submarine bed instead! But did they listen? No, of course not."

I know I will sound like vatnik shill, but out of all thing you could insult the BMP is not the worst one. I mean, apart from the fuel tank in doors, but if someone gets behind you with power to pierce that door and ignite the fuel, the whole thing is dead anyway so...

Well, true. But it's fun to beat up on. It looks so sad and forlorn, like the older tanks are beating it behind the bikeshed. I might be biased, though. A teacher of mine called it a tracked sandwich grill once.
Don't particularly know about the Bradley, though. It's getting rather old as well, no doubt, but I can imagine how hideously expensive it must be to change to a new line of vehicles.

Heh, sometimes the BMP looks like a lost relative to the Stridsvagn 103, the tank that didn't need no turret, and told the world "Good luck! I've got miles and miles of taiga to kite you through!".
