I see this thread has been living up to its name.

I've been finding random little shards of glass around the house. With my feet.

It's like the glass fairy showed up at my home and sprinkled a shard here and a shard there.

I've swept up the areas where I stepped on the glass but I never find more. I haven't broken anything, nobody else in the house has broken anything. It's a mystery to me why I keep getting shards of glass embedded in my feet. Time to wear slippers I guess.

Closest I can think of is Discordian.

There are indeed some Erisians who worship Her as essentially a giant RNG. They're not wrong! But given that we're specifically encouraged to make up our own versions of the religion and bicker as much as we like, being right isn't that hard =P  In general though, most Discordians aren't concerned with luck or chance so much as subjectivity and perception.

Heh, the most popular god of chance that I can think of offhand is Garl Glittergold.

Weather reports are saying that Hermine is heading my way. The prediction tracker is literally showing that Hermine will make a 90° jink to the left just so it comes right in my direction, and expected to hit very soon.

The weather is fairly calm(too dark to tell if cloudy or not), and other than a small spot over Florida and one out in the Atlantic a bit south of where Hermine is supposed to be, the radar map of the east coast is pretty clear.

PRE-EDIT: Actually, the prediction tracker is showing it turning left, then again making a solid 90° turn to the right just before it hits. I swear, I'm being trolled by a post-tropical cyclone.

Once self-driving cars become a thing, it might actually become near impossible to commit suicide through cars. You probably woudn't even be able to throw yourself into traffic, if the prediction software of every car on the road can anticipate your crazy suicide attempt and stop in time.

In many cases (e.g. traffic one side, crash barrier the other), it would come down purely to vehicle traction, as all the automated car could really do is slam on the brakes.
