I honestly think of RPGs as roll playing games (sic).  I know that wasn't the original meaning, but it sure fits better now- games where some of the mechanics are inspired by tabletop dice systems.  Stats and checks, usually rather visible to the player.

My WTF today was clicking on the League Thread and then this thread and seeing Putnam having the same argument in both of them.

Why is that at all surprising or unusual? Guy has a hate-on (somewhat justifiably so) for a lot of the people at Riot, this same argument pops up about once a month.

I agree. Riot a shit. I just don't care about the specifics since it always seems to come down to "So and so is a massive asshole for X reason". The whole drama about these games is so far below my caredar that it's probably subterranean.
