I'm getting WTF's from the biology faculty at my uni. They seem to be trying all sorts of weird new education methods, but are sticking no single one in particular. It's frustrating that lecture prep one week can be 20 minutes, and then the next week 4+ hours.

I have no idea how anyone defends Riot Games ever.

In that link, Tryndamere is confronted by criticism and immediately tries to doxx Icefrog while talking about Pendragon's integrity. That's completely inexcusable.

and also... "falsehoods"? that he took down the biggest dota forum and said "fuck you too" when called on not posting the archives for years after they were promised? Things that are easily googled?

I googled "Icefrog" and the third link contains this rumoured (and apparently false) name. Numerous other results also make reference to this. That's not really doxing IMO, it just seems like trivially available (mis?)information on the internet.

I don't know enough about DOTA/LoL to really say anything more about anything else.

Icefrog's made a point of being anonymous (in fact, it's one of his most well-known features; "elusive" and similar are the most common adjectives applied to him), so using his real name (or what Tryndamere believes to be his real name, at least) casually like that is... I can't really use any word other than doxxing, it's trying to reveal personal information about someone who doesn't want such information revealed, there's no other word for that.

Especially since, given that, people are far more likely to recognize Icefrog by simply "Icefrog". There is no non-nasty reason to use a real name in a situation like that.

The mods of the subreddit kept that comment up for 18 hours despite having banned Richard Lewis for doing almost the exact same thing a couple years beforehand.

Shitty? Asshole? If the guy doesn't want to be identified, than it's not the right thing to do. But still, I don't see how simply stating such trivially available and public information is doxing, but (for example) linking to it isn't.
