I just googled reel mowers. Now I want one.

They're neat for about 5 minutes, until you realize you spend as much time getting every small stick in the yard unstuck from the dern thing as you do actually mowing. Plus they go dull really quick and are then about as effective as trying to shave yourself with rusty sheep shears. Source: The useless hunk of metal in my shed.

If God wanted us to mow lawns in a quaint old-timey manner, he would've given us goats.

Apparently goose are a somewhat efficient garden trimmer thing? I know a guy who keeps a pet goose and swears the grass never grew too big after he got it.

Goose are fk terrifying tho.

Maybe the goose is intimidating the grass with its demonic presence.

Nah geese really like eating grass. It's basically like having a miniature goat/cow.
The problem with geese is however that their crap is acidic (like most birds) and kills plants pretty well plus depending on race/size their wing buffets can break an arm.

tl;dr Get a duck instead if you are too lazy to mow the lawn yourself.
