The new Elusive Target mission in Hitman is to kill Gary Busey.

What the fuck?
I thought you were kidding, or it was some Gary Busey-But-Not scenario.

This is not the case.

The actual current Elusive Target mission is "Kill Gary Busey". 47 was hired by the male deodorant company that Busey worked for in retaliation for him abandoning the production.

What.

You even get a rendition of "The Lonely Child", and various other "Gary Busey is fucking mental" moments.

I'm sorry, but I don't get that reference. I just snatched the image from Wikipedia without thinking much about its underlying philosophies.

... gary who? *checks link*

I... don't think I've ever heard of the guy. Looking at the list of works, I don't think I've seen a single thing he's in. ~150 roles over nearly half a century and not one I've watched.

But then how would you know of one's affinity for Pratchett?

Not everyone. I personally know someone who doesn't. That's how I learned how a strange and wonderful world we live in.

If by "affinity" you mean "distaste", I suppose that you could include me. It's odd, really. Whenever I see one of the jokes or concepts referenced out-of-context, they're generally quite amusing. The couple of times I tried to read any of his works, I merely found them to be bland and forced. I have a similar reaction to Douglas Adams.

Apparently Windows 10 will cost $120USD after July 30. Not necessarily a bad price, but I can only hope that it comes minus the spyware.

I can see how that could be. When I read the Hitchhiker's Guide series it was a very formative time, and even then the books were somewhat uneven. The first and second told something of a vaguely coherent narrative, the third veered into an adaptation of a concept originally made for Doctor Who, the fourth changed its tone and style radically to a largely more grounded setting, and the fifth changing it yet again to invite all of the bleakness that it possibly could. And then there's the Dirk Gently books, which aren't really so much funny as they are highly strange (particularly The Long Dark Teatime of the Soul).

I only started reading Pratchett a couple of years ago, starting from the early books, and I couldn't help but feel that I might have missed the necessary bus to get properly into them (though they're nevertheless pretty well-written and easy to read).
