Seinfeld was probably the most influential TV sitcom ever (there literally hasn't been a show since that hasn't drawn on something Seinfeld did first), and Friends was a major cultural touchstone in the 1990s, (or, in other words, when today's thirty-to-forty-somethings were growing up or in their teens) to the point where a lot of people who have never watched a single episode know who Ross, Rachel, Phoebe, and the rest are simply through osmosis.

No mention of sitcoms like Hancock's Half Hour or Blackadder? Seinfeld is not the most influential TV sitcom ever

I had to look up what both of those are, and I don't see anything there than influenced much of anything. Of course, most British TV is shit anyway.

There is some really weird stuff going on. Every single time I sue the... landline(?) phone to make a call, my internet goes down and I need to manually reset the modem. Sometimes when someone else calls this number too. This only started happening this month, but there's too much shit going on for me to look into it properly.

Sometimes when someone else calls this number too. This only started happening this month, but there's too much shit going on for me to look into it properly.

Depending on what kind of internet service you're using, they sometimes use these adapters that link the modem cord and the telephone cord to a single telephone input thingy. Having this sort of thing happen can be the result of a faulty adapter. Could also be some telephone pole-cable internet related shenanigans.

Could also be the OLYMPIC SPIRIT announcing itself before it devours your soul, too.
