It is insanely unlikely that Microsoft will ever apply that to the consumer versions (I quote! "or applicable to the Windows 10 consumer edition"), and something like that has already existed for quite some time, as a way to offer Enterprise features to small businesses without paying full price. Regain your chill composures, people, MS doesn't particularly feel like alienating their entire userbase.

No they won't start charging, but the multiple Get Windows 10 "updates" are still scummy as all hell.  Of course, I spent a long time using Redhat and Ubuntu so maybe I'm pickier than most (;

TBH I don't think even Micro$oft actually believes that they could get away with that. It'd fracture the userbase like no shoddy version or competitor OS ever could, and they'd lose everything they've been building for with the Win10 push.

It even fits the topical model: free, exclusivist platform which makes it really easy to access a bunch of paid programs and services.

You know... I can respect a comedy that knows when to be serious or that is mostly serious. They are often my favorite kinds.

Yet I am watching a comedy that wishes it wasn't a comedy.

I never seen such a set up fall flatter in my life. They are treating Scotland like it is some ancient jungle nation... Yet nothing funny is happening!

They have Hitler in a dress... and even that isn't funny...

Dang it Jackboots on Whitehall... Look... Either be a comedy or be an alternate history stop motion movie. (The movie is an alternate history comedy about Germany invading England in WW2)

What I actually find disappointing is... I actually wanted this to be funny and I can totally see this being funny! They just need the guy who does Wallace and Grommit! BOOM! perfect!

The only "all female troops" I am aware of was in Japan and that was created more out of necessity and the fact that men and women weren't allowed to be in the same squad... and they, to my knowledge, stunk. (also yes I am aware there were more then just them.)

Yeah. Apparently there was an entire sub-genre of fetish fiction centered on Nazis and Jews that was apparently somewhat popular in the 50s. It died out for, well, obvious fucking reasons. There was even a specific name for it, but I can't - and don't really want to - remember it.

There's Nazisploitation among movies, the first and foremost of which was Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS. That might be part of it in the popular consciousness.

Though apparently sexualization of female SS is also a theme in the older Stalag fiction, which is probably the one you meant. Gotta say, "Nazi exploitation Holocaust pornography" is probably the most morally unclean combination of words I've read in recent memory. Most popular in Israel, no less, until it died after being made completely and utterly illegal (and they say criminalization doesn't work).

What weirds me out about Nazi exploitation films is how recent they were after the war.  Like... many people who were in the war, who lost friends, who were actually tortured by Germans, would have still been alive.  You can have PTSD flashbacks while you wank!
