I've used them before. Honestly, I don't like it, since they're hard to adjust.

Yeah, that's wildly unnecessary and inconvenient.

There are cars where, rather than hooking the seatbelt yourself, the seatbelt is motorized and slides along a rail to get itself into position as soon as you close the door. I have never seen this before, and I'm frankly kinda amazed that it exists.

Its like the car loves so so much it just wants to hug you tight. forever

... the actual car I own has that feature. Across shoulder is automatic, but you still have to click in the bottom part. Is '95 model station wagon. Probably older than a number of the posters on B12. The feature's been around for a while, ehehe.

It's not particularly inconvenient or anything, in practice. No worse than a normal seatbelt, and far less likely to be forgot.

I actually got a ticket for not clicking the bottom part, once, in my dad's car.  I honestly thought it was optional, I always seatbelt.

I was actually pulled over for speeding of course, but I think I was so pitiful looking that I got the seatbelt violation instead.  Which I think meant no insurance points?  It's the only time I got pulled over (for speeding) since I'm usually pretty careful about it.

I consistently get automatic seatbelts wrapped around my head. I am glad they never caught on. I hate them more than those headrests with the uncomfortable holes.

How do those even work?

Also, unrelated, emotions, why...

I tried some Mac and Cheetos from Burger King and I have no idea what they even tasted like.

E: Actually, it's not too far out there to say 7/11 was an inside job. I don't think it was, but it's certainly plausible.

I dunno man... I think 7/11 was an outside job... a VERY outside job if you understand what I mean (aliens)

Nah, 7/11 was just a part-time job.

A question I like to give to conspiracy theorists is "if that's right, how would it change the world?"

Proving the moon landing false would be pretty much pointless now that Cold War One is over. It'd be like proving an athlete was doping, years after their death. 7/11 being an inside job would have an effect in giving the US an excuse to monitor their citizens, but haven't they been caught doing that without an excuse anyway?

Hey didn't you know that the Patriot act was made in response to 7/11? IcyTea is dead on the money.

Yeah, how can you expect the government to respond to convenience store robberies without constant surveillance of the citizenry?

Massive countervalue bombing is the only possible recourse, obviously.

Heiterverzweiflung. Not a legit German word so much as something a friend and I made up in German class once. "Carefree despair". When life is so fucked that you can't stop laughing.
