Probably related to the switch to HTML5 video somehow. That's been Google's catchall for punishing Firefox users on YT in as many ways as possible.  ::)

Youtube videos are loading very slowly in Firefox.  Only in Firefox, and only on my desktop machine.  This has happened before, but I'm pretty sure it just resolved itself after a few days...

I got that too. hasn't resolved yet for me though.

I've had this problem with youtube videos over the left few days where the video stops loading just a few seconds in and won't start loading again, regardless of connection. Replacing the page has made it work like normal again so far.

That used to happen to me until I switched to a new (crappier, incidentally, but cheaper) internet provider.

Is that a WTF? It's an old thread.

Tried to play the latest version of DF after all this time. Can't run it because it's missing msvcp140.dll. It's still giving the error even after I've downloaded the runtimes from Microsoft.

Yeah, that comes up a ton in this here topic. He switched compilers, so you need the MSVC runtime 2015 stuff. The downloads in this post have all the necessary libraries included with the download, and there's also a 64-bit build there to boot that AFAIK doesn't have too many unusual problems.

I looked into playing DF the other day, but apparently the new compiler and 64-bit are causing some pretty big headaches for the memory mapping folks, so we probably won't have DFHack and Therapist for quite a while?

We'll have it for the 32 bit builds in the normal time.

DF is actually moving into 64 bit territory. I thought that it would require much more effort that it looks like it does.

In other news, I should probably switch to a 64 bit OS soon...

Goodness there is this terrible Kickstarter about Bernie Sanders made by someone who absolutely loves him.

Basically it demonizes Hillary Clinton and MAYBE Donald Trump (I can't tell)

Yet it is so over the top and slanderous that it kind of turns around and becomes hilarious (and it would be hilarious even if it was about Hillary Clinton as Jesus fighting the EVIL Donald Satan Trump).

Mind you not all bad political satire is funny... I still remember that one game... UGH! Now that game was disturbing.

ALSO DAMN IT TV!

Venus has gravity comparable to Earth. You CANNOT Moon Walk on Venus.

Dang it Arthur! You were already on Mercury, couldn't you have done that scene there?

Would 64 bit DF be a marked improvement?
