LITERALLY 2 posts in the topic gets derailed with "Oh you think this is bad? Wait for Star Citizen to flop! Now that's going to be glorious!"
And the thread became an SC thread... until someone mentioned Bernie and the thread derailed itself further into Trump x Hilary.

Oh and apparently it's now impossible to get a refund if you backed SC.

Laughing bitterly at the Star Citizen thing (glad I wasn't caught) but what's more important is that the Official Sonic Twitter is flipping awesome and memetastic.  It's pretty well known by now, but I'm sure a lot of people haven't seen it.  It's great how self-deprecating it is.

The official Sonic social media is pretty amazing, yes. They person/people who run it are either good at their jobs, or genuinely love Sonic memes.

I looked it up once, it's just some guy.  I forget the whole story but basically he was a big fan, so they gave him the job.
And when he started going buck wild with it, apparently they actually realized it was *helping* and let well enough alone.

it's not a stretch to say that a subreddit founded due to a sexual favor that never happened for a review that was never made that was written to sell a free game is pretty dumb

i mean, why did it start when a minor goddamn free flash game may have had some coercion for a single good review? Did it happen when jeff gerstmann was fired for giving kane and lynch 2 a bad score and got fired from Gamespot for it because they were advertising the game? Did it start in the myriad of times large companies held press conferences with fuckloads of goodies to try to sway the opinions of reviewers? No, it started because a woman who was a game designer may have had sex with a reviewer. But it's about ethics in games journalism, I guess.
