Well i can't say anything without actually seeing that. Maybe they are just playing or something?
Animal "play" can look pretty brutal.

Of course if they draw blood it's not play ;p

My weight continues to plummet. In and of itself this isn't a bad thing, as I was slightly overweight for my height up until a few months ago. The fact that I've been losing weight over the last year isn't exactly surprising, since with my job I literally never stop moving for more than a few minutes at a time (outside of breaks) but the rapidity is starting to concern me.  I don't know my starting weight, but it's at least thirty or forty pounds without changes in diet and my waistline is diminishing very fast despite a noticable gut that I don't care enough about to get rid of (which I could do easily just by cutting down on beer and sodas). In the last six months, I've gone from my pants straining slightly through needing a belt to assuming clownlike levels of excessive size. I'm starting to wonder if I should see a doctor.

Are you following some diet or did you jsut started losing weight/appetite randomly?

Cancer can do that but it has loads of other symptoms that go with it.
Maybe you have some parasite?

I haven't changed my diet, but I've been working this job for just about a year, and the weight loss did start just past the midpoint of winter. I've been assuming that it was triggered by the seasonal metabolism shift, but I expected it to have reached equilibrium by now. Thing is that the only other changes I've been noticing are joint pain and massive leg muscle growth (my thigh is nearly as big around as my head right now, with no real looseness or jiggle), both of which are easily linked to the constant walking.

Yeah a lifestyle change related to your job might have something to do with it then.

If you haven't changed your diet to eat more and replace the energy you're spending, this may also be why.

Note I'm no expert, it just seems, y'know, reasonable. Pinch of salt with the advice though.

Mind, though. If you can afford it, it's fairly unlikely getting a quick checkup is going to hurt much. Does sound like mostly a lifestyle change thing, but it's not exactly impossible it's something else, or something else on top of said changes. And if it is something else, the earlier you find out, the better.

Maybe consider actually keeping up on checking your weight for a week or two. Iirc, more than two or three pounds of weight loss over the course of a week (discounting normal water weight and whatnot variation, anyway) is potentially unhealthy. Not time to panic or anything level unless it's extreme, but in the range of "maybe check with the doc occasionally just to be sure you're not overstressing anything".

E: Just about the only decently competent LP series of Blacksea Odyssey that I've found is in... russian, I think. Pretty sure it's russian, anyway. Related to that, I have been listening to someone speak russian while playing Pulling Legs Off a Frog, Sci-fi Edition for the last. Uh. Eleven hours. Something approaching straight. Maybe two or three hours in there I was away from the sound, at least. Whatev'.

I don't speak russian. I have no idea what this guy has been saying, save when he busts out the loanwords and/or english. Eleven hours. There has been a russian man chattering nonsense in my ears for the last eleven hours. I just noticed it has been eleven hours. I was not expecting that.

It feels way too damn hot in the morning, but in the evening, it feels comfortably cool, despite it being actually warmer overall. Is it because my window is open to the East, right towards the rising sun, or what?

Sure sounds like it. I've had houses/rooms in the past that were like that, it definitely happens.

The rule of thumb is the safe limit is 10% of body weight lost over six months with no special effort to, although moving a lot kinda confounds it.

I'm in pretty much the same situation myself, I've had to buy a belt a size smaller since I ran out of holes on the old one couple of months ago, and by now it's the same story on the new one.

Given that there's blood all over the floor of my kitchen, and I still have the scar from where they bit me from the last time I had to deal with this crap, I can say that it's not playing.

I've heard that the only way to deal with it is to stand in the window each morning, naked and with open arms, welcoming the sun with song as it's first rays fall upon your skin.

Oh, hey sexual ads trying to trick me into drowning my computer viruses by looking at various ''''''''''sexy'''''''''' women of various ethnic groups, didn't expect to see you here, I mean, I get that someone who's reading The Devil Is A Part Timer for about the fifth time so far on a rather shady site isn't exactly going to be the most well-adjusted of individuals, but I'm not exactly reading some Ecchi bullshit here, it's about the demon lord working at a parody of McDonalds, Unless somebody has been checking out some pretty hardcore porn while I haven't been looking there's not much for these ads to go on.

And secondly, why is there occasionally an add for women's fashion?! You're sending some pretty bloody mixed signals here, ad people.

Adblocker is your friend.
Also its not uncommon to find porn ads on (mostly) non porn related sites, specially when the sysops/admins simply don't care about it.
Hell, I remember when gamefaqs had porn ads on it. You can get porn ads adjusted to your browser's preferences simply by browsing a website with content unrelated to it, but that accepts these ads normally.
