What could be even worse is if we try to list all of the worser things.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Aye what's changed? We have a socialist pope. I like the guy, but he's not going to change something with the inertia of the Catholic church.
How in the hell is Francis a socialist
He doesn't think he's big shit just because he's the head of a major religion. I don't think he's a socialist in Hell though; folk might get worked up by hell-spawn being pope.

On a more serious note, he's talked about economic injustice many a time, took down the bishop of bling in Germany, is investigating the Vatican Bank with a view to reform (accusations of money laundering encouraged the investigation) among other things. I would provide links, but I'm lazy and using a phone.

Google these things.
The Bishop of Bling is going to be my rap name. And/or tabletop character, in the grand tradition of 50 Copper.

I'm 17 and I don't know how to bake. Mostly because I'm a sheltered and spoiled kid, but still.
I'd imagine that baking bread and pastries and the like is something you learn later in life when you have the freedom and stability to do so. Has anyone ever baked anything in a college/University dorm other than a custard pie to throw at someone for some stupid prank?

Came home to find that my stepdad had gone into my room, took out a large cabinet that previously held some of my sister's things, then moved a bunch of my stuff around. Now I have to go through it all to make sure nothing of mine was stolen/thrown out. Oh, and my mother's response to my outrage was "well, do you need any of it right now?"

Update: This escalated this morning somehow to him making threats against me and my property, specifically threatening to smash my computer as soon as I left for work. While he didn't carry out that specific threat - or else you wouldn't be reading this because I'd not have a computer and would probably be in jail for manslaughter - but he did at some point enter my room and turned off the power strip that powers my computer and router, and my PC does not really take kindly to total power loss.

At this point, I refuse to pay this asshole rent until I have a lock on my door, and the cost of getting that lock will be coming out of the rent.

Sure, if they actually have access to an oven. If we'd had access when I was in one, I totally would have baked cookies occasionally just to torment the rest of the residents :V

Regardless, there's a lot of baking that's ridiculously casual, mostly involving delicious cake and cookies (and brownies, etc.). Get the mixes and they're literally stir stuff, put in cooking receptacle (as appropriate for what's being cooked), and put in oven. That's it. The most complicated thing you'd do is crack open some eggs and maybe partition out cookie dollop whatsits. If you can use a tea/tablespoon to measure things and have a working arm you're golden.

Yeah, brownies are easy as hell. Just make up the batter (is that what you call it?) and bake that sucker in the container of your choice, for the simplest case.

Bread is a touch more complicated, but the only new step that'll really cause you any trouble is the kneading. It's a lot of effort, and while it's easy to do well enough, getting the dough to a good, uniform consistency takes some practice, especially if you're trying to make it into pasta or some such thing. It's worth it though, there's not much better for breakfast than fried eggs and homemade sourdough toast.

Will say it's faintly amusing that you rolled in late to a workshop type thing that was about time management, though, yoink. You showed why it was needed before you even entered, but at least you got something out of it :V
Hey now, my time management was spot-on. I was intentionally late.
I actually stopped around the corner when I was about a minute away from the place, stood around, checked my phone, paced back and forth for a while and waited until it was a good fifteen minutes after the thing was supposed to start, and then walked over and entered. And it paid off! I avoided any awkward introductions or other stupidity, as well as having to do any actual work or speak more than a few words.
That was some A-grade time management there, I'm quite proud of it to be honest.

Unfortunately in a short while I have to go to another of these sessions. Hopefully I can pull the same stunt again.
I wonder what incredibly simple task they'll have us doing this time.

Yeah, brownies are easy as hell. Just make up the batter (is that what you call it?) and bake that sucker in the container of your choice, for the simplest case.
Yeah but the tricky part is making the cannabutter, you want to cook it well so it's the right consistency but if you burn it the stuff loses its potency. :v

Though ah, to the question of age of learning... the response would be "Not really" to that later in life thing. Honestly, most of the time, so far as I'm aware, folks do their initial forays into baking when they're young -- teen, preteen, that sort of thing. Familial bonding type stuff; work together, learn some life skills, afterwards delicious treats. If there's any sort of conventional age for starting, that'd probably be it.

Though that's mostly because basic baking is both bloody simple and almost entirely safe,* so it's a really good starting point for learning how to follow simple recipes and whatnot.

*You usually don't need anything sharp and the only contact with heat is the oven (that the adult can handle), which is probably one of the least volatile (such as it is) heating element. No spattering grease, no stirring boiling liquids, etc., etc.

===

Though yoink, it may have been intentional time management, but it was also exactly the wrong sort needed for job seekers :P

The new Mighty Number 9 trailer. Who thought this was a good idea?
I feel sorry for the backers... but at least the game looks semi decent... even tho it's not something i'd spend more than $5 on(10 if not on sale)

Why must you be so bloody temperamental Windows 10? Spending an hour trying to get a game to work as well as it should with my rig, just because it's an old game?

And now I have to mess about with compatability settings just to get you to save the game!? I don't know why I bother. The game isn't even that good!

Edit: Why the fuck are there no compatability settings, Windows 10? Why must you torment me so? I just want to be an evil bastard in an Asian fantasy setting :'(

Backward compatibility means you aren't using new software! That means you're not buying new software. And clearly, that means it is of the capitalist devil and should be purged into the ground.

... though, mind sharing what game it is? My glorious vista OS might be able to run it, and it sounds almost interesting :P
