My main beef with Mario games nowadays is how all the NSMB games are basically the same game, and for that matter, I'm still salty over Paper Mario 4 being New Super Mario Bros the RPG. :v

there are 4 NSMB games and each is on a different console

there are 14 CoD games and most were released on a few consoles

Battlefield fans seem to think it will be dead Real Soon Now, what with "Battlefield One."

Only way that's killing the franchise is if the setting is just too awesome, and the games such a hard act to follow that further sequels just flop entirely.
