The issue is not that they said fuck it to the relatively clean designs of the old suits but they then went "Hey, let's place some vomit textures on top, gotta have that HD detail porn!!" . I can only imagine how horrible they'll look in motion with that much visual noise, their best bet would be to get Bay to direct so we're spared of it by way of shaky jump cuts, just like in Transformers.

Fitting use of Seven Nation Army given WWI and all. The Arabian and French campaign makes me moist, though their take on dogfighting seems more star wars than WWI.

Eh, the designation makes some sense, since the game will be chronologically first as of now (and, from what I remember of the Battlefield style, anything older than WWI would be a bit iffy), so considering it a prequel in the sense of Resident Evil Zero or Ace Combat Zero isn't too outlandish. The game would be more appropriate two years ago, but from what I've seen so far it's closer to a 1916 setting so it is still fitting.

And they are! This is amazing! I didn't dare believe it!

Oh man. Oh man. This is actually quite exciting. Even if they do a cruddy AAA job of making the game, the setting is pretty much unspoiled territory- as far as I can remember, the only WW1 game I've played was a weird side-scrolling adventure/puzzle game I got for free a while ago.
