Two days later, and my right shoulder still hurts. This isn't good. While I can move it, moving my shoulder at most angles causes pain, notably raising it to level height and towards the left.

I would except that I A) have no insurance, and B) require authorization from my job. And when my sister was injured on the job(doing something very similar to how I got hurt), they dragged their feet for months before she was allowed treatment. But that may have been due to the incompetent manager. Believe me, if I have to go through the same process, I will not be polite about it.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

To get worker's injury compensation requires that you go to an occupational health facility for evaluation with a transcript from your place of employment detailing the date of injury, what you were doing when you were injured, any witnesses or other parties to the injury, etc. The injury will then be evaluated to determine if it was, in fact, a work injury rather than you spraining your back at home, masking it until you get to work, and pratfalling, and to ensure swift treatment. Workman's comp injuries are supposed to be treated within a very short period of time, and failure to provide the relevant paperwork immediately upon request is extremely illegal. Demand the paperwork, and if they refuse inform them that your next inquiry on the subject will be via lawyer. If that doesn't faze them, get a lawyer (a little research will allow you to find experts in this field that generally work at low cost) and sue the fuck out of them. If your injury is obviously work-related, such a suit has a very low chance of failure.

Yeah it kind of undermines the "has to" and "compensation" if they can just ignore it/drag their feet
