Beginning to wonder if Disney has surreptitiously transferred a great deal of Pixar employees into their own studio; it actually was quite good.

Well, the transferred one of the big ones (John Lasseter). I think that has a lot to do with it.

Job phone interview happened.
Basically I was told I was "too enthusiastic," and interrupted her....

In my experience anyone who says they're "good at reading people" is full of shit.
Everyone just takes wild random guesses as to what's ticking, and then back it up with whatever evidence they "see" after that.
She could've actually thought you were too enthusiastic, because you talked before her once at the start.

Either way, sorry to hear that. Looking to work is IMO so much harder than work.

Kinda got somewhat ok news? I guess.

So it was down to me and one other person for a job, they chose this other person over me, BUT they said they liked me so much that they want to plug for a second position for me.... They don't know how long this will take or if they can do it but they said they really want to.

I don't know if this was real or if they were just letting me down very easy, but either way it's nicer than just flat out no.

In my experience a flat out 'no' is just never hearing from them again.  So they like you! There is hope!  Hope is good! 

Even if they are just letting you down easy, (I'm not saying they are) that they bothered to call you back at all means that you gotta be doing something right.

My WTF is yesterday's XKCD. WAT DO?

I tried mixing colors of the lamps, before I realized I was mixing them wrong. I tried mixing blue and yellow to get green, except that's paint, not light. However, mixing blue and red does indeed get pink/fuschia.

While typing this, I noticed... I think it's either a tree trunk or a rock spire, shoot up from the fuschia when I went back to it.

I read the discussion here first, then got stuck on the loading screen. Watched the loading Icon for a bit then tabbed it for ten minutes wondering when th plants were going to start growing
