Darkest Dungeon is pretty depressing without even accounting for the story. You're sending hundreds of adventurers to their doom, the ones that survive are either dropped back in again or fired without a pension, and the only thing you do to help their ruined mental health is send them to flagellate themselves or fuck whores and sometimes get syphilis.

These adventurers REALLY need a union.
