My father finds it amusing to poke fun at conspiracy theorists until they're his own conspiracy theories. He's convinced that those things where you buy a kit and pay to have your DNA analyzed are a way to give the government fake evidence so they can do frame-up jobs, and he maintains that Windows 10's option to opt out of sending your info to Microsoft doesn't actually opt you out, even though he has yet to do any research on Windows 10 in the first place and is just operating on hearsay.

But when some guy lectures him on chemtrails, he comes home the next day and laughs his ass off about the guy espousing about how the government is out to get everybody without anything to back his theory up.

It's sad, really. I didn't even realize he was serious with those at first, he loves making fun of conspiracy theorists so much.

I offered to show my dad the paperwork he needed to file, months ago. He yelled, screamed and actually growled at me, pretty threateningly.

Now the downsides of not filing that stuff are starting to come out and he's asking me why I didn't help him file the papers sooner....

Answer, "growling."

Nobody takes any responsibility for anything, even when that responsibility could have saved them and cost them nothing. When you growl at people, they tend to shy away from you.

Yay, asshole relatives.

I can say from personal experience that not everyone is like that.

From what i gather Akai is both a character (sonicsona?) and an artist who was coarse to people who didn't like her pairing her character with sonic or something.
Why? because sanik fandom is srs business apparently.

He's fucking lucky. And its the neighbors, too. Would that be an excuse for a lawsuit, or arson charges? They DID burn his house down as a result of not being able to manage their fire, whatever the fuck they were actually trying to accomplish

So, in work-related news this past week, we had: A bicyclist couple all bedecked in their spandex pants and silly helmets who decided to park their bikes in the handicapped spot closest to the door, because clearly we never have customers come in here in wheelchairs or anything. There was another smattering of vomit all over the mens' bathroom one day, and unidentified brown liquid today. In general its a cesspit, but sometimes it all happens at once.
Someone brought their pet iguana into the store, hanging onto their shirt under their collar. I legitimately thought it was printed on the shirt until they came closer. Someone else brought a very noisy little dog into the store on a leash. One old lady actually had a tiny chihuahua hanging out of the front of her shirt. A little boy brought his puppy inside. We had children wrestling in the isle by the coolers, playing with our laser lights, and being obnoxious in general, their grandma who was escorting them seemingly oblivious.
A couple months ago we actually had an old man come in with a death certificate for his wife, who had died of smoking-related complications recently, said she refused to quit. I gave him a refund for the remainder of her cigarettes. We also had another woman come in and ask for a refund of all her remaining cigarettes because she just flat out quit in a single day.
I have had multiple customers come up and as soon as they open their mouths its like opening a manhole directly to a sewer full of rotting corpses. (or as I would imagine it, at least.) Customers have regularly been just flat-out rude and visibly upset more than usual recently, too, and I'm not sure why. I've noticed a lot of folks snatching things away as soon as I put them on the counter, before their transaction has actually gone through. We had customers come up to my till today to complain that our coffee was cold. My coworker, who just checked it, confirmed that it was still piping hot, as expected. I clean those things on night shift, around 8pm, the coffee will still be scaldingly hot when it was last checked at 1pm or noon. They were clearly all insane.
My coworkers have also been getting in the habit of wandering off and leaving me on till alone with no phone number to contact them, only to be swamped by like thirty people at once. Oh, there was also a box of donuts brought in by the manager. It contained one that resembled a bunny's backside, complete with little feet and tail, made of frosting. It was delicious.

Eric Blank, that story was a mix of many tones. That ending delivered it perfectly on a nice note of bunny donuts. :P Just hoping that those memories of rude customers only make around <1% of all visits :/ Those times tend to be the most memorable thing because of many factors...
But argh, bicyclists in the wrong area D: Hope they were notified.

I think I'm overworked o_O Or how you say 'thinking today is your only rest day on a regular weekend and tomorrow is workday despite it being a Sunday [and I only do stuff on Weekdays...]. Unsure if that means being overworked.

I'm all about bicyclist rights, as I've shown in the past, but taking up handicapped spaces?  Why.  Just, what are they even trying to prove.  I don't condone that.

I'm sorry, right to a separate lane? What? We're putting the cyclists where they belong; out of the way of motorists and pedestrians who want to commute in peace without ridiculous two-wheeled travesties getting all uppity.

Damn, if you tried that where I live you'd sure as hell bet that you'd walk out of the store with parking tickets attached to your bikes; the police in this town take the idea of "a bicycle traveling on the road counts the same under the law as any other vehicle" rather seriously (sometimes too seriously; I recently had a friend get a serious almost ticket warning because he failed to stop when traveling in a special bike lane straight along the "top" of a T-intersection, i.e. in the place where he literally wasn't crossing any lines of traffic).
