You'd think it would make more sense for the team to have a bit more gender diversity, but oh well. Seems they're just really driving home the 'girl power' route to squeeze the most viewing dollars out of the modern cinema-going population. It could still probably be worse!
There could be some smug male government/mayor type who the team approaches for funding, who knocks them back with a condescending smile because patriarchy. And then gets a cheesy comeuppance later on in the film to send the feminists in the audience into a frenzy of celebration/rioting.    

I'm sure people would dig a spiritual successor more than this weird... retcon thing.

I was actually in the worst (saddest, most depressed) mood I've ever been in AFAIK a couple hours ago. I talked to someone about Celcus or whatever for about 3 minutes and I was back up. I'm starting to really put credence into all those meyers-briggs things putting me as an extrovert.

I read that as celsius and I don't even know what I thought. For some reason, the idea of you getting cheered up by talking to someone about metric temperature gauges doesn't phase me.

I mean even if so, this isn't Star Wars or Star Trek with their huge expanded universes and tiers of canon.  Official Ghostbusters canon isn't really a big deal, it's up to what individual fans decide (more so than usual even).

I mean, the cartoons are probably technically canon, and they were fun but so stupid.

The Myers-briggs thing explained a lot. Assuming I actually found an accurate source for once. Either way, it was interesting.

You won't get a personally holistic explaination if your source is from the internet :/ This is best done with a psychometrician (because that's putting statistics + tests + you = relatability to you in a general box).

Saw the trailer today and the only thing I could think was that the movie looks like it would've been OK if she wasn't there. At the very least, it doesn't look like the film itself plays up the "the main characters are women!!!!!1 we're speshul!!" the way the advertising campaign does.

I get that feeling a lot. Sometimes when I get that feeling of "I'm bored but I don't want to do this or this or this" I do random exersises. It's good for you, offers a challenge, makes you feel good about yourself and does some shit with endorphins or something that makes you feel good in general.

I'm a weird person. I don't know if it would work for anyone else but it works for me. Feeling bored? Plank for as long as you can.
