Hmm one of my professors was a living jump scare.
He would speak normally about stuff (he had an interesting quirk.
Every sentence he would SHOUT out a word. he didn't shout out random gibberish EITHER.
I assume it was his way of keeping his students from falling ASLEEP.

He also had another interesting QUIRK. We had a MAP of Germany in the room and as he talked about things completely unrelated with the map he'd point at THINGS on the map.
So yeah he talked about the Chinese long march while drawling a LINE between Berlin and Hamburg .

One of the articles of clothing we put out today was a women's short sleeve knit that was essentially a ring mail piece made from soda/beer can poppers. Apparently, there's a clothing designer that makes things like this.

Just about everything (barring stuff that's outright lethal on skin contact... mostly) has at least one clothing designer out there that makes stuff out of 'em. Once you see the folks selling human skin clothes your apparel weirdometer stops going up.

It reminds me of that one joke. Old Polish guy said that it was so bad during the war, that they had to eat sorrel, while an old German guy say it doesn't sound so bad, since during the war they had it so bad that they made soap out of people.

(Also, the sorrel is a reference to one Polish politican who said he doesn't belive there could be starving children in Poland, simply because during his childhood nobody was starving because they even ate sorrel from embankments which caused a good bunch of people to lel)

It is suddenly very weird to me that Siri, Google, etc. don't respond to you saying "Thank you" after it completes a voice command.

I know that Google's voice recognition is done over the Internet so it'd be wasteful to spend it on such an obscure feature, but I hope that digital assistants start expecting some gratitude once in a while. It'd make them seem more human, and thus make me personally more inclined to use them.
