But we want to reduce disorder, not increase it. Delaying the heat death of the universe and all that. Every time you help prevent chaos, you help save the universe.

I don't get what the big deal with the inevitable heat death of the universe is.

I mean, has anyone ever considered the fact that the time we have before the sun even blow up is many orders of magnitude longer than the entire of human history?

By that point we would probably either be godlike, or have nuked each other to oblivion.

It's like playing Zelda, but the Moon is crashing in 10000 years.

I hope we can figure out how to make new universes.

Oh, our sun's not going to blow up. It's too small. It'll just get really fat and cook the planets for a while, then shrink back down and sit there with a fraction its current luminosity for a very long time.

The main point is this is one thing that will be a problem even after we become gods. Getting a bit ahead of ourselves, yes, but it is a real problem.

Again. By this point we will most likely have mastered FTL travel, or sent out light-speed spaceboats anyway. We won't need to worry, unless the stars decide that all at once is a good time to explode/implode/shrink/expand/dissappear.

Welp, we'd better bang out some of those sidequests so we can have some good loot near the end of the game.

I agree.  The heat death of the universe is more of a philosophical point than anything else.  It means that according to our current understanding humanity can not survive forever.  But any idiot could see that using the other facts of our situation.  And it seems kind of a moot point given how short a human life is on a cosmic timescale.

Conservation of energy doesn't even fully apply to our situation.  Because Earth isn't a closed system (see: the sun).  Sure we can't create energy but we have a practically unlimited source.

You misspelled seance.  Are possessing Draignean?  Are you actually a ghost in the shell? You have to tell us if you are, that's the rule

Of course, we have much longer than the life of our sun, and even our galaxy, but what do you do when there are no more suns left?

We don't need light-speed travel to colonise other solar systems/galaxies/etc., just really, really patient colonists.

The moon's actually leaving, not crashing.
Nooo come back we like you
