People don't say twat around there? I thought that as an American thing...

I have never heard an American say that unless they were miming a foreign accent.

Though Americans do mean something quite different when they say "fanny". I'm given to understand that that's a source of great amusement.

I pretty much associate the word entirely with the UK, actually.

Heiterverzweiflung. Not a legit German word so much as something a friend and I made up in German class once. "Carefree despair". When life is so fucked that you can't stop laughing.

No, half of them can't even pronounce it right. You can tell GTA4 was made my britbongs because of TW@, whereas Americans would be more like to pronounce it "twot" (I know I know, doesn't make sense to me either).

Attempt to imitate a comedic UK accent, I'd think.

Here in Canada it's more of a mix of UK and America. People pronounce twat correctly (there's no fucking o what is wrong with you) but in general seem like Cunt is the most offensive word. Then again I also live in the hick-ish part of Atlantic Canada, aka New Brunswick. The capital thereof.

Speaking of that, why the fuck do so many people insist on wearing camo (ACTUAL FOLIAGE STYLE) coats and hoodies here? It's... Weird.

I don't get why the US thinks the word cunt is the worst thing ever, it's like I was watching House of Cards and the Murrican there calls some lady a cunt and they properly pause the scene for about 5 seconds of silence before his entire career is destroyed as if he'd just told her Hitler did nothing wrong and Genghis Khan was a saint xD

-snip-
I am having a bad time, though, which confirms my statement.
Also, what did you mean to say? Because to me it sounded like 'Censor your opinions on gender roles that apply to you or people will think you're a MRA, and we wouldn't want that, huh? Huh? Also, chicks don't dig you haha jk'.

I mean, if we weren't all such good friends here, my fee-fees might have been mildly hurt by your PROBLEMATIC ATTITUDE.

PROBLEMATIC ATTITUDE aside, how harsh is 'bellend'? Jim Sterling made me think it was pretty rough, but then he generally sounds like he hates everybody, and it just sounds so comical.

Bellend is around friend-you-see-more-than-once-a-week levels for being not offensive.

That's standard issue for rural white trash everywhere. I've seen hunting-camo sport bras and full hunting suits worn as casual-wear.

Bellend is as harsh or comical as you intone it, it's one of those words like fuck that is very versatile in its use and scale of offence

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Because it's a funny word about a funny looking part of the body it's mostly just for comedy and football
