Long time ago my best friend was way into those, and the enthusiasm was contagious.  The "resistance war" thing was neat!  And the robotic transformation stuff was...  Let's go with "creepy yet fascinating".

But, what's so bad about that cover in the last image?  Looks a bit derpy but...  Well...  Most comics look pretty derpy *to me*, no offense to comic lovers.
No seriously, us nerds should stick together (and I've met some really rad comic nerds, young and old).

"a ruse" and "step down immediately after the ceremony" sounds awful lot like Hitler. I mean, not exactly, but you catch my drift, like, "we can control him" Papen and "end the tensions in Germany plox" Hindenburg.
Trump doesn't resign despite agreeing and everyone is just RAEG and he's just trolololo I'm now Hitler.

Wow I've been here for over 2 years and just noticed that the room door handles have flathead notches on the outer sides, making it trivial to unlock any of these doors.

Like, "quickly and silently with a thumbnail" trivial.  I almost understand that for the bathroom, but the bedroom...?

Not that I've been locking the interior doors anyway, why would I.  Except when I had family members over.  Even the one I consciously trust - almost without thinking, door got locked as I closed it.  I'm not sure what bothers me more, that I compulsively locked the door, or that it was an absolutely false comfort.
