There's so much more in the VN, and it's presented from Okarin's point of view, so you end up identifying with him, so I'm going to go with "nope!"

Can't say I've seen any of those, I'll take a prod at Clannad since my brother has it on his shelf of Anime and has it on his list of Anime to try shoving on me, can't say I'm looking forward to watching an Anime with a bunch of differently colored school girl clones though, dark or not.

And now... since i said yesterday that i will talk about the sonic comic books...
Sonic the hedgehog comic book insanity ho!

You know that there is a sonic the hedgehog comic book series?
Well it's still ongoing!
But i'm going to talk only about the Penders era... Penders was... interesting you see (and i didn't read more anyway).
Early sonic comics had a content problem. The games were far between and more often than not they didn't have all that much story to them anyway so the writers had to write their own stories.
And so the early/mid era sonic the hedgehog comics were the wild west for any aspiring writers like Penders... who liked to add some Bible quotes here and there...

Man, I loved those comics as a kid. I need to buy one of the huge collected volumes of it.
Although the amount of nostalgia involved in such an occasion might just cause my head to explode...

The first 100 issues or so really had some weird uneven artwork before htey pulled their things together (hell look at the "horse crusader" in the first image. The horse guy is drawn well and detailed but knuckles is... yeah.
Also from what i hear the entire series underwent a "soft reset" to eliminate any trace of Penders from the storyline (his characters and locations) because he sued the company after leaving his job.
Oh and finally making Sally stopped looking like a FurAffinity escapee.
