My 3DS camera doesn't seem to recognize my ability to smile. Granted I don't really smile much, and it's obvious that I'm forcing it(rather painfully I might add). I'm disappointed that I keep disappointing my Mawile that I can't properly smile. Note: There is a minigame where can make faces with your Pokemon. This makes them love you more when it works.

But for some reason, it recognizes my "kissy face".



Also related, while I'm not surprised that Mawile doesn't like being pet on the teeth of her horn*, I was surprised that the spot Mawile does like being pet is where her nose would be if they had decided to draw one there.
*My theory is that Pokemon don't like to injure their trainers when they pet them. This is why you cannot pet Slugma - whose body is literally lava - at all. Slugma wouldn't want massive 3rd degree burns where a hand used to be. Mawile's horn looks like an alligator's, is made of steel, Mawile has a decent base Attack stat, and why the hell did I try to pet her there?

EDIT: I was wrong. It wasn't the horn, it's the ears that Mawile doesn't like being touched. And in addition to smiling, the camera no longer recognizes me winking my right eye. It does still recognize my left eye winking.

Yeah, it's just one of those things, like ME emigration, which people can't handle talking about rationally, probably because it touches on things that are too closely held to be discussed rationally for a lot of folks.

I'll admit that I've stayed far away from more than a couple threads just because from past experience I know that if I engage on any level above shitposting about lighthearted things that happen to be relevant, I'll let myself be dragged into the morass of emotionally compromised ranting. If you enjoy getting your teeth into an argument and don't like being banned, some things are just bad ideas. :|
