Cost a bit more than I wanted to pay, partly because you have to buy the charger seperately.

I greatly object to having to do this, especially since I think the 3DS XL has a different charger to the 3DS.

Yeah, the charger I bought is specifically labeled as compatible with NEW 3DSXL, 2DS, 3DSXL*, 3DS, DSi XL, DSi, DS Lite. Probably not compatible with the original DS, I think that had an old AC adapter-type charger.

It's on there twice because there is the 3DSXL and the New 3DSXL, which has some extra buttons and is more powerful.

There's a very simple explanation: Deleted posts. They're not counted in the total statistics but user's postcounts don't go down when their posts are deleted.

Various Nonsense could count for tens of thousands of posts on its own - that board was mostly purged and many of today's top posters were around when VN was still a thing.
It's not uncommon for threads in GD to have posts snipped or to be deleted entirely - this, too, will drag the number down.
Finally, spammers have their posts annihilated with impunity. Probably another few tens of thousands of posts there, as well.
