Guess what? I looked up "Why do Razer headphones suck so much?"

IMMEDIATELY flooded with videos, responses, and stuff all about my headset.

The company actually must have either created fake reviews... or I dunno... How can they get great reviews from a headset that is pretty universally reviled?

---

I dunno I just have this belief that no matter HOW expensive something is... if it isn't at least as good as what you got... don't replace it.

Yeah, Razer has one product people like, which is the Naga mouse.
Past that, don't even bother.

(That being said I've only ever owned one keyboard of theirs).

I don't get these high end earphones and headsets.  My $8 Sony headphones, along with a little masking tape, work perfectly fine.

How the HECK does Razer have so many good reviews for that headset?

I mean... I don't want to accuse anything baselessly...

But... Could they have actually bought and faked their reviews?

Could they have actually bought and faked their reviews?
Yes. Very easily.

Yes. Very easily.

Is there any confirmation of that anywhere?

I mean I experienced faked reviews for a product before...

I have a $-00 Astro headset which is finnicky but excellent.

A good set of headphones is very nice, but I'd say it can only be made worse by being bundled with a mic as a headset (especially the sort of "gamer" gear that relies on marketing more than anything else). I use $150 headphones and a late '90s stick mic held together with masking tape and a kebab skewer. Whatever floats your boat I guess.

I'd say that there's a pretty substantial jump in quality from the $10 range to the $100 range, but everything beyond that is basically paying for labels.

I've got a set of Sony MDRV6 studio headphones--they run around $90, but they've been in constant production since 1985 for a reason, despite newer models in the same line being released pretty consistently. They're about as close as you can get to the model of what high-quality headphone should be, and they cost a fraction of the price of high-end headsets. I use them with a $6 headset around my neck with the mic boom angled up.

Unless you have some incredibly pressing need for a mic integrated into your headphones, that's the sort of setup I'd recommend. They blow everything made in the past 36 years out of the water, cost less than $100, and last basically forever.

From what research I did... there is NEVER EVER a need to buy expensive headsets...

Ok there are... There are a form of expensive headsets that are expensive because of the soft lining...

But there is no technological reason to go for more expensive ones... HECK when they tried to make cheap and good headsets they managed to do good at 25 bucks O_O

Also my head is a bit too big >_< most headsets press against my head hard. Either that or I am just overly sensitive to it.

In WTF news:
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/20/us/anti-abortion-groups-join-battles-over-frozen-embryos.html?partner=msft_msn

In which anti-abortion groups claim embryos are living beings, and court cases over custody of embryos should take into account the best interests of the embryos, that they are "innocent human life," and that their fight to stop "vegetative" people from being removed from life support was for the same reasons: both are a fight to protect "innocent human life" "from conception to natural death," and to top it all:

Quote from: that article
Missouri also produced the court’s infamous 1857 Dred Scott case, in which it ruled that a slave was not a citizen, but property — a parallel that Ms. McQueen’s backers draw. In their brief they wrote, “our sorry legacy of having enslaved human beings’’ should “raise a red flag of caution’’ about treating embryos as property.

How does a vocalist overlap their voice with their own? Like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBzD9VCaI1A&index=1&list=PLjKGrHT_h6TCdl63BiX2JVDtZYZvgzOJj

At one point you can hear her, well, twice. Also in Cosmic Gravity.
Probably the same way Chris/erock manages to play multiple parts in the same song: recording multiple times and layering the recordings over one another.

I dunno Shadowlord that seems actually really sensible for anti-abortion groups.

I mean... they aren't holding funerals at the back of abortion hospitals... or picketing infront of abortion hospitals.

If anything the WTF is how oddly civil it is O_o
