Erm... that's probably more to do with illegal gambling and suchlike.
Can't say for sure, though, but I doubt they have a specialist unit dedicated to combating all those troublesome videogame nerds.

My school has an assigned policeman...somewhere. I don't think I've ever seen him around the campus, though he did visit every class once to introduce himself and give a non-emergency number for school-related troubles. Beyond that, no fences, no metal detectors, nothing. I hear there are some PA codewords for teachers to watch out for, but obviously they're not told to the students.

People on r/tf2 are claiming the phlog isn't op because you can just walk away while the pyro is taunting.

I didn't realise how dumb the people on this subreddit were.
Also, I'm going to run the phlog until I've dominated everybody who plays on European valve pubs at least once.

On the one hand that is true. On the other, running away is really stupid in a game about map control. 'Oh? The enemy just used their Phlogs near the Control Point? Guess we won't be winning this round then!' After all, when you run away from most other classes, it tends to be because you don't have the proper loadout, space, ammo and/or health to face them. Not because they're using a very specific weapon...

What the hell? Yes, America, the way to make schools safer is more guns.

And here I was thinking the big metal fence around the local primary school was excessive.

When everyone has nukes, sayigg "plz no nuke" would't help. Way too many guns in america to reasonably expect an area to be safe without more guns.

I guess there might be a breaking point where more guns actually is safer.

No guns - Jimbo the Hated kid commits suicide of tries bringing a knife to school. Probably knifes a person or two before getting caught.
Some people dead but most can run away.

Some guns - Jimbo the Hated kid grabs his dads shotgun and goes to town on his classmates and teachers and gets caught by the police or uses the last bullet/shell/slug on himself.
More people dead because you can't outrun a bullet.

2 people dead. Possibly more if the frustrated kid is smart about it... but frustrated kids are rarely acting smart.

So yeah... more gun might be a valid solution. As long as you assume you can trust a hormone addled teen with a firearm that is.

Do you remember when that Democratic senator (I can't remember her name) got shot in the head by some guy a couple of years ago? The civilian who took down that shooter actually carried a gun himself. He chose to not use it though, and instead brawled the shooter down. Why? Because he knew that if you start firing a gun in a crowded space you not only risk missing your target and hitting innocent bystanders, but because other panicked, gun-carrying bystanders might then mistake you for the perpetrator in the confusion and gun you down. In both cases you risk causing a lot of damage to both yourself and the other innocents.

edit: I remembered what I forgot that I came here to say:

A kid jizzed in another kid's sandwich and the kid ended up eating the sandwich not knowing it had been jizzed in. The kid who did the jizzing got expelled.
