No, that is not my logic at ALL.  Because, I am talking about DIALECTS not ENTIRELY DIFFERENT LANGUAGES.

And... I don't know, really. I did say, way back when I first posted the WTF that sparked this discussion, that the fact that I got so worked up over a simple colloquialism was a WTF in itself. I do find most Australian slang very irritating, though, most likely due to me having to put up with it pretty much every day.

I'm not a fan of America's slew of misspellings, either, so they certainly aren't innocent in this.

I like how probably the longest discussion I've ever started on the forum is simply about me being irrationally angry over words.
