Kinda. The weird thing was, he wasn't shocked or anything. He seemed pleasantly surprised. In fact, he actually shouted over to me (I was biking home from an errand) "Doglovers 1, catlovers nil."

Okay, so... That was a fib. What actually happened was that I was watching a film which had a cat getting mown over. I posted that without context, then found that people were assuming I just saw a cat getting mown over. So I kinda riffed on that and it turned into a bit of a cruel joke in the process

Since it's gotten people worried, I apologize. No cats were harmed in the making of this post.

And that's not getting into the blatant copyright infringement issue here.

Copyright infringement? There's a valve logo on the trailer video, it's obviously a licensed crossover. It's also on Steam, which is owned by the same people who own Counter-Strike, valve, so I doubt they'd be pushing something that stole their own IP.

It's not that hard to understand actually. Take something that was fun and re-create it inside a well-known engine. Then bundle that up for sale. It's a good marketing strategy. The fact that the results look worse than the lesser-known standalone version don't matter. More people will pick this up because of the Counter-Strike name. There's even a press release about it:

I'm just glad!  And honestly the scenario was so absurdly horrid that I didn't believe it, but I didn't want to jump in and call anyone a liar.  Particularly on the off chance.

So I found out FINALLY that Cyberbullying laws are total BS... >_<

It doesn't help that ABSOLUTELY NO ONE could describe to me the point beyond this vague notion of a loop hole.

The actual loop hole? Freedom of Speech.

It was an attempt to allow the government to say what you are and are not allowed to say.

But then again Canada currently has no cyberbullying laws anymore...
