Another month, another internet bill, another internet bill opened by my stepdad... I seriously wonder what information he's trying to get off of it. They do not retain customers' financial information, and certainly not on the bill.


Unrelated, but my younger sister may have been suckered into a pyramid scheme that has her trying to sell skin cream labeled "ALL 100% ORGANIC" or somesuch that supposedly sells for $1,000 a pack. Supposedly, most of the income is supposed to come from suckering other people into it. Why this is not obvious even to her is just...

Ah, every young'un gets solicited by some MLM/pyramid scheme at some time.  It's like a rite of passage.  There used to be a Vector Marketing office within walking distance from here, sending mailers out to high school students to ask them to become knife salesmen.

Yeah, I remember every kid in my neighborhood got the Cutco pitch while they were in high school, and most of them tried it for at least a few days.

That experience would serve me well years later when I went to apply for a job and it turned out to be a recruiting seminar for door-to-door air purifier salesmen. Why, only a $700 investment to buy the air purifier before I go sell it to someone? By George, there's no way this is a scam or anything!

This is that game awards thing lineup for shooters. I fucking love that Splatoon is there among "gritty shooter images". It's hilariously out of place.

Splatoon also won best shooter and multiplayer. Which makes the image extra hilarious.
