This is true, there are singular words ending in 's'. On the other hand, they're pronounced in such a way that it makes sense to me, whereas 'biceps' just sounds plural.

Just had the first nightmare I've had in ages.
Funnily enough this was on the third sleep of an attempt to fix my sleep schedule, whereas I usually have nightmares (or just exceptionally vivid dreams, but usually nightmares) on the first couple of nights of an attempt. Also strange is that I had actually failed this attempt last night... I didn't go to sleep at my usual time but rather hours later, giving me just a few hours to sleep before my alarms were set to wake me up. I think I usually don't have any dreams (that I remember) in such situations.


Oh yeah, and this was after I woke up briefly, checked the time and saw it was still about an hour before my alarms, and then somehow managed to go back to sleep. All very unusual... I think I had dreams earlier, in the main chunk of sleepytime, but nothing I can remember and certainly nothing that woke me up shaking in fear.

That was a pretty badass dream for a mind that was barely even asleep.

Biceps feels weird to English-speakers because it's a direct loanword. It's not supposed to make sense within English grammar.
