Tbh you'd run into serious problems with gender balance. You'd probably have to set up some elaborate scheme involving polygamy to ensure survival.
Also, upper and lower board animosity?

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

Also, if it happened, think of the history resource we would have. Bay12 would be a record of every single living human being in a certain time period, and possibly for all of time. People could be celebrating their "sign in days" when they made their Bay12 account.

As for leadership, we could try democracy.

Something's been bothering me since I left work today. When I left the building, a fire truck and ambulance rolls up to the store I work at. I joked with the boss yesterday whether the other guy can handle things by themselves for two hours.

I left the store about 20 mins since I clocked out from work. I estimate that emergency response came 5-15 mins since call. So my mind tells me that other guy fucked up just 5 mins after I left.

Dear god, I have trouble with the e-penis comparing even now, I don't even want to imagine if entire remaining humanity started doing it!

That's odd way of spelling "benevolent dictatorship under the Toad".

We might be able to manage it if we have large families and aren't too concerned with the rule of 7, but I think it's more likely that we'll just have a really weird bulge in the population pyramid.

And clearly a dictatorship, headed up by Toady One the Great and his designated successors, is the optimal form of government for Bay12. If we set up bases on separate continents we're unlikely to stay united for long though. Chances are good we won't go to war even if we do separate, at least.

I dunno, we'd probably try to make some kind of socialist utopia and fail horribly.

We would need some form of judicial system as well. I suppose we could take our lead from either the forum or DF the game. We could ban them from the community for their flamey nature, or we could hammer them in the vein of the Dwarven Hammerer.

What happens when the dwarfputers and the ER players clash over secret government technologies though? Thermonuclear war before long.

I mean, would there really be enough secret and amoral government experiments in the world to satisfy all of bay12, even if everyone else died?

There was also the island project, which gradually devolved into "hey let's buy a paddock in Canada because it's more cost-effective".

I need a word that isn't Pretentious for whenever something is "too smart for its own good"

Or rather where it spends far too much time waddling in its "deep surreal storytelling" to the point where it just feels aimless, lost, and sort of bad.

Like... it was all pretense without substance... pretentious one could say.
