The result was a war that apparently lasted a week, fought in space using robot lolis and tentacle monsters.

I have no idea what Grandia is, but that plot sounds a lot like Japanese Entertainment.

JRPG. However, that particular bit was supposed to be a plot twist.

Elena's most expensive attack, White Apocalypse, is supposed to a giant blast of holy energy. However, the big reveal is that God is dead, so it's not necessarily divine in nature. Later(actually just before the reveal), you find a spaceship. Now, what if there's more of those ships in orbit? The one you find is still(sorta) working after 10,000 years of environmental exposure(and had been maintaining it's shields the entire time) - and that's after slamming into the ground from orbit at full burn with enough force to crack an entire continent in half. Elena isn't bringing divine retribution on her enemies, she's calling in an orbital strike.

Hey, that would be an interesting scenario for something along the lines of forum game-cum-zombie apocalypse prepping schemes!

'A weirdly specific disease has instantly wiped out all humans except people who have an active account on [current forum]. What do you do?'

Obviously start posting locations, determining where the most members are, and then forming a community there. Depending on transport, of course. Could make many small bases, and keep in touch over the forum.

With a bit of effort we could probably get everyone on Eurasia and Africa into one place. Overseas leaves you pretty fucked though since boats are slow and planes are hard to land.

Bay12: Old World and Bay12: New World could certainly be a thing. The Australians would probably be screwed and so would the Africans and East Asians, too spread out and few in number, but European and American Bay12ers could probably get together in as little as a month if the people who know how to drive went around collecting the people who didn't.

I think a cathedral somewhere might be fun, in a city centre, so near lots of food.

Depending on the amount of people, we could take over anything from a village to a town. Preferably near a city for supplies.

Is it bad that I'm thinking the mass destruction of humanity would be nice if it gave us all the drive to get together?
