I zoned out in lecture and when I looked back up at the projector it was talking about butterfly topology and twiddle factors.

WTF did I just miss.

I'm curious as to what lecture you were attending. Butterfly topology looks fairly simple, and I can see how it relates to twiddle factors(I'm amazed that spellcheck knows that word) as far as visualizing an efficient method for computing FFTs.

The "restore to your previous operating system" thing somehow magically fixed it yet still left me with wind with Windows 10. Acted rather like a restore point, actually...

To be fair, I've had that issue with computers before windows 10 came out.

Now that I think about it, I think it also happened when I fucked around with my Apple computer as well.


Ultimately updates are shitty things that break really badly if they happen at a bad time.
