my ideal games, it turns out, are bullet hell + somethin

guitar hero was the first game i was good at, and guitar hero is a bullet hell in the purest form, with nothing but using your muscle memory to react to or do by memory a pattern of bullets coming at you

i wonder what genre would work best with bullet hell that hasn't been done...

(what has been done: action roguelike (binding of isaac), JRPG (undertale), platformer (Rogue Legacy), just from my library)

(no, rogue legacy ain't a roguelike, it has persistent equipment; isaac only sort of has that, but that's one or two items, while rogue legacy is your entire armor and weapon set, plus some extra items)
