Re-watching the Pokemon anime right from the start. Haven't watched it in years.

Several Pokemon in Mt. Moon are acting odd because of lighting placed in the cave. Among them is a group of Paras who are planting their mushrooms in the ground. Looking closely, several of them looked like they might have died. And given that Paras' mushrooms are essentially Puppeteer Parasites... Yeah, they're probably dead.
Clefairy is totes adorable, though.

Also, who is Officer Jenny's english voice actress? I swear I've heard that voice before.

There's been an uproar this morning over a political cartoon on the other side of the country.
People are getting pissed off at the newspaper for printing it. The cartoon in question is pretty damn stupid, but since when is complaining about political cartoons a worthwhile thing to do? Are they supposed to be held to some high standard of quality? Are certain subjects just off-limits to them?
As far as I am aware such cartoons generally aim to offend at least someone.
When people are saying "this makes me embarrassed to be from [CITY]", well, it makes me embarrassed to be from Australia.
Or Earth in general, really.

Can you link to a copy of it? I aim to encourage the Streisand effect whenever possible.

Wolfire Games (the folks making Overgrowth) released a video showcasing a new alpha build that has been/will be released. They also apparently massively upsized their team and plan to get updates out sooner.

The sheer amount of vitriol in the YouTube video comments made me WTF today. I wouldn't have thought that YT comments could still surprise me but jesus. You'd think that the Wolfire guys robbed them at gunpoint, raped their pets, and then proceeded to not actually make any sort of game at all from the way folks are going on.

Hasn't it been, like, nearly a year since the last update for that game?

9 months, yeah. They say they're planning bi-weekly updates, we'll see if they can stick to it.

Well, we've had to wait about that long for the last few DF updates. Toady keeps us up to date on development so it's a-okay. Did the Overgrowth just go silent for a few months or something? I can see why that would piss people off, especially if it's a kickstarter thing or somesuch.

Basically, it's been in development for 5 years or so. Like DF, they periodically release playable builds, which people mod and stuff. Problem is that, yes, they kinda went silent for these past 9 months. Even before that though, back when we were getting updates every month or so, they'd still catch fairly ridiculous amounts of hate.

It's not quite a kickstarter thing, in fact I think they pre-date kickstarter. They way they have it set up, you pre-order the game which gives you access to the playable alphas and the full game (whenever that happens).
