Does everyone know what a caulking gun looks like and how it functions?  Is that common knowledge?

I... don't think it's uncommon knowledge, at least? It's not like the things are hard to find, and they're used in a lot of home improvement type situations. Most people I know have used one at some point, but most people I know have also grown up in rural or near-rural areas where incidental home repairs or improvements are (mostly) done in-house, so to speak.

Why do game publishers even bother with those huge EULAs? As far as I know a lot of the stuff is either already covered in the law, or is overruled by the law. It feels like one of those things where nobody really knows why they do it but they do because everyone else does and it'd suck to be left out. Except that would be silly.
