Okay, who are supposed to be the greedy hypocrites here? Is it...

• ...the graveyard keepers who don't allow all visitors to see the memorial unless they pay?

or

• ...the 'socialists' who don't want to pay a charity to keep the memorial up?

Personally, I think the latter group is in the wrong here. Socialism requires a ton of upkeep to work, and having those who use an attraction pay for its upkeep seems fair to me.

Would eating asbestos be so bad? Sure it can fuck up your lungs because it stays there, but your digestive system is optimised for getting things in and then out of it.

In traditional media fashion, they might be technically correct if they mean worse as in "responsible for more cases" instead of the much more intuitive "exposure causes greater harm".

Anyway, the mechanism that causes problems with processed meats is mitigated by not charring the meat, and by addition of ascorbic acid or other antioxidants (which is required for meats manufactured in the US, apparently), so it's not too big a deal to worry about unless you're regularly grilling up some hot dogs or something. At least if I'm remembering correctly. Maybe this recent thing is new?
