42.14% of all posts in the modding forum are in the main modding forum, which includes modding help and particularly derelict mods

The other 57.96% are in the tilesets, mod releases, utilities and masterwork section

masterwork makes up 40% of the activity of every single released mod, graphics set and utility combined

it's almost twice as popular as every other mod proper combined

i get yelled at whenever i complain about this

i thought i had gotten over it until someone posted about jumping straight into masterwork skipping over vanilla and ignoring every other goddamn mod again

and then i looked and went "oh that's why" and it turned out I got over it because i stopped modding dwarf fortress??

meanwhile i'm remaking the SCP mod because two (2) people want me to, one of whom is me

you could say that I'm the only person that matters, but that's frigging stupid because everything i like about dwarf fortress is in the metasocial aspect that isn't dealt with at all when nobody plays your goddamn mod

yeah i do interesting things but who the hell cares, masterwork is the only mod that matters, it's the best one around

it's a little disheartening to know that you spent 20% of your life becoming one of the best in the world at something when your primary reason for doing so is something you will never accomplish

You should use college to get student housing instead.

Plus I have very little experience taking care of a residence. Or even just taking care of myself.

I'm not even trusted to hold onto my own medications, despite having to remind my mom more often than not when its time to take them.

These are things that you will learn by having your own place, trust me. There's no better teacher for how to care for a residence than actually having to care for one. And if you need help, remember that there are thousands of people like you on the internet and somebody has likely asked the same question before, or you could look for tips at any of the surprisingly large number of cleaning enthusiast forums out there, or if nothing else helps you could always ask us here at bay12.

I know the prospect of moving out can be very worrying. The first time I left home I was so anxietied that I felt like I was just a drop away from just throwing everyhing out the window and running into the woods to hide under a big rock or something. But the best way of overcoming this worry is to actually prove that you can live on your own. And the proofest way to prove that to yourself is to actually do it. So every time you think about it and become worried or stressed, try to focus on how nice it would be to have a place to call your own instead, or how nice it would be to be out of your mother's thumb. Focus on the good things and the independency of being your own.

i wouldn't include that in the main download and AFAIK people are slightly more likely to grab a vanilla mod than a masterwork modmod assuming the modmod isn't included
