Wouldn't it be more appropriately "gynoid waifu"? Unless, you want a waifu that looks like a dude.

Android as a robotics term just means "robot designed to look humanoid and act humanoid", rather than a robot design that looks like a car or a spider or a ball or what-have-you. It's not gender-specific. At least not any more gender specific than the term "mankind" is to refer to the human civilization as a whole.

And depending on the consumer user person, maybe they would want a robot companion that looks like a dude.

Should we call them Anthroids?

I love how every time I start thinking Neonivek isn't as bad as he makes himself look, he quickly proves me wrong. It's not even a real question if you look at it, I don't even know where to begin to parse it and that's WITH following the self driving cars and internet of things stories for years.

... so an automatic or...? That... even that doesn't really parse, though. A lot of manual vehicles have a lot of circuitry and computer controls in them these days, too, last I paid attention. Think I'll wait for neo to clarify.

The problem is "Electronic" is incredibly vague considering almost every car produced in the last 15 or even longer years has some sort of internal wiring, fuses and even sensors and other things built in. Mechanical is also an extra pointless distinction, all cars have mechanical components! I mean what does he seriously think every single one is 100% different from each other? The biggest distinction I can think of is that most "smart cars" use keyless entry systems and use push buttons to start that need a little fob keychain within distance to start.

The drawbacks of a mostly wireless system should be obvious, not that exploiting it is super common yet.

I could say he maybe meant purely mechanical cars, but those haven't been a thing for over 50 years now. Pretty much every automobile post model T times haves at the very least an electric engine in it to start the actual combustion engine. Maybe he meant automobiles with no computerized components on them, or something, which are kind of a rarity today, since pretty much every car nowadays has some sort of computer bits built into it to control fuel injection, ABS brakes, parking sensors, etc.

Could be that, maybe a misunderstanding of how pervasive computers and electronics are in cars mixed with the newer smartcars.
