Eh, probably not.  Forum apparently logs the IP you post from, so all it would take is them running afoul of Toady just once, whether through posting against the rules or being within the same thread as a reported violation of the rules.

Eh, probably not.  Forum apparently logs the IP you post from, so all it would take is them running afoul of Toady just once, whether through posting against the rules or being within the same thread as a reported violation of the rules.

No, I think it straight-up bans the IP, if memory serves. Toady states he's gotten angry emails from people who ended up with the IPs of former spambots who he had to ban.

I do remember one banned user who managed to sneak back in. They left invisible text posts saying who they were foolishly and then left considerably more obvious posts after thinking no one saw the invisible posts. Toady saw this and rekt the sockpuppets. I can't remember who or what they were originally banned for, and this bugs me considerably now.
