I honestly don't think that is true. It is just that the way that we teach computer courses are inherently flawed because they rely on ancient textbooks, programs, and what have you.

I don't have the imagination to think of another method of teaching it that won't rocket education fees throughout the USA.

Mostly it is because it is the computer illiterate teaching the computer illiterate.

And this is why. If the computer illiterate are the teachers and all of them need to learn a whole new subject in addition to all the faculty BS they are mandated to be proficient in I think the teaching will suffer horribly(solving nothing).

So either the method needs to be changed so the illiterate can teach proficiency(a silly idea with all of the changes between OS which also change over time) or a teacher with that exact specialization is required to teach proficiency. A teacher with that exact skill set required all over America in addition to all the other teachers already required.

In 40 years, we will have Windows 50 and iThing 20.   
By then, schools will only just begun teaching about how to do things on Windows 35 and how to use the leximobiusomniprintscanner 25k while the 70k version is out.

When I got home, my mother mentions I got mail, and that my stepdad thought it was his(based on the fact the he did not bother to look at the name on it - mine - therefore it must be his) and opened it. Turns out it's the bill for originally setting up my internet - a bill I've already paid, and in fact had to have paid at least 24 hours before the install technician arrived to set it up.
