Can't make everyone happy sadly.  on one hand you make all the mooks male (or all female) and you might get called out as being sexist. 

Make them have a realistic sexual diversity and you get all "Hey that female charr is kinda hot and that makes me feel funny.  I'd better accuse the artist as being a sexual deviant!"

Clearly the only solution is to have all the characters and mooks be platonic solids.  Clearly that will clear everything up.
