Dreams are usually just sort of weird or interesting to me, but last night I had a dream that was... actually good? Like, I felt happy during and still feel happy after. Not sexual at all.

What is the term for Pet Slaves so to speak?

Or rather a person whose job it is to basically be a pet? In that his job is to shower the person who bought him with affection and the person who bought him wants to shower them with affection.

Hmm... It is still probably Pet, but I assumed there might be a technical term... I assume it is rare though given how Ornery and temperamental humans are.

Petplay is definitely a thing that exists. I dunno if there's any special terms beyond that.

Never in any other game community have I seen people say stuff they know nothing about than in the Dota 2 community.

And I don't mean stuff like "idiot dagon does burst damage not magic damage", no, that's just standard competitive game overconfidence, something you see in every community. I mean stuff like "Dota 2's modding system doesn't have tiled maps" or "only valve has access to the engine", things that are not directly related to playing the game. It's really quite bizarre.

That second one actually had an exact example; it was pretty amicable, but they said basically that statement and I immediately provided a script using the Lua API that does exactly what they described as hard (selecting all idle couriers and doing stuff with them). It's just strange how confident people can be without actually doing the work required to be confident in information.

On the other hand, this may just be me being biased because I actually know stuff about Dota 2's workings and the only other game that I know of to that level is Dwarf Fortress and Dota 2 is way more popular.
