My mom wants me to take tattoos and stuff from work to keep them in case they become valuable some day.

The first forum I ever joined had PMs as basically private threads rather than the mess they are here. With two or three people I ended up with 80+ pages. <3

... maybe inform her that not being fired for stealing is also something that will be valuable in the future?

Now I'm imagining a political system where absolute power is granted to a different individual every five minutes.

If he has absolute power he can just immediately abolish the system.
Loopholez, loopholez for dayz.

make imposing a law take 10 minutes

rotate absolute power between people in 5 minute intervals

everything is belgium
Pretty much sums it up, yeah.

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

Leftover tattoos/stickers/whatever can be taken without anyone caring, so long as the job is out. The overrun just ends up in the garbage anyways.

Odds are good raptor burgers will be the new hit sensation and permanently restore the economy to 1950's bliss. Taste of chicken, substance of beef! And only a small chance of being hunted for revenge!

You can set PMs to organize into conversations instead of individual messages.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Yeah, MCF does this.  Heck, it allowed editing post fact.  Which I really wish B12 did because often enough I have to send a bunch of PMs because I just realized something.
Heck, I played a Mafia game entirely on a PM over there.  And then they moved it to a forum and it crashed and burned because there wasn't a multi-user PM function.  If the group hadn't done it, I don't think it would've died.  Oh well.

Also check that box which states 'keep outgoing messages' so the default save-my-sent-messages will happen. :3

Whenever I send a message or email I'll reread it 2-3 times, so I always panic when saving outgoing messages is disabled. A sane person would proofread their messages before posting them, especially when they can't be edited, but hey, I'd rather lead a life of danger and regret.
