This is FAR from a *good* movie, but he's a mentor figure/ex-soldier in Jupiter Ascending and doesn't die even a little bit. There. Tada. The book plays it WAY different, making out with it so that it looks like he's the main character before springing plot twist.


And, again in SoIaF, we have at least one MAJOR character death. Like, entire plotlines, prophecies and all expectations brutally cut short. We also have normal expendables getting shanked mixed in with minor characters who we've known a while dying, but GRRRRRM gives no fucks about offing really important characters and amputating entire putative plotlines.

That kind of blatant disregard for plot armour isn't that widespread, but its there.

Cat wants fresher water.  Humans leave unattended water on counter. Cat has learned that the water left unattended on the counter is more fresh than the water in the bowl. Cat, naturally, prefers to drink the water in the glass, and gets on the counter to get it.  People dont stop the cat, so the cat has learned a bad habit.

I have seen cats that drink slow drips in tubs, sinks, and other places to get really fresh water as well.

The reason you have cat ass on your counter, is because cat has learned that water is on the counter.  Stop leaving water on the counter, no cat ass.

Oh man my cat loved drinking from the sink tap.  I indulged her a lot because it was really cute, it often got her face fur wet which looked funny!  Also I assume it was healthier than the waterbowl, even though I think I rinsed that out daily.  It's kinda amazing how expressive cats can be, particularly when you live with one long enough.  Or when they want something bad enough.  Or when they aren't accorded a luxury you have offered them at any point in the past.

She also loved having a tiny chunk of whatever I was eating, even bread or leaves.  The tinier the better because she obviously didn't like the taste, she just wanted to be included.  Cats, amirite?  WTF.
