I remembered something I would do when I was younger, like 13 or so. I played WoW on a private server, but there was a bug or something and you could pick Thrall's pocket as a thief and get obscene amounts of gold at a low level. Now the thing is though, I would mail it to a second character of mine (Often with shady messages even though nobody could see it.) Then I would give this gold to low level people, acting as shady as possible, referring to my thief as "my dealer", telling them "You didn't get it from me." That sort of thing.

I don't know what compelled me to act like a drug dealer while giving gold to people in WoW.

Why not just petition for a law that declares vampires illegal aliens, i.e. uninvited to your home country?

Well by Dresdenverse rules, it's about the intimacy of the home in question. Places like boarding houses or sub-lets generally don't have any protection at all from vamps, whereas a family home has that feeling to it.
I would not say that supernatural entities care about the law.

In traditional mythos, i'm not sure there are female minotaurs.
(ofc in super-old reference there was only one.)

Let's be honest though, a modern-day vampire wouldn't even have much trouble. Just prove that your disabilities exist, get on welfare and assisted living, get your medical expenses for bloodbags covered. If only fresh human blood works, get a job working for some government as the official executioner for all condemned prisoners. Or find someone with certain kinks who's willing to be your SO.

They're paper, ink, and usually some cardboard. I mean, rare books yes. I you damage a rare book you're either horribly unlucky, careless or an idiot. But regular old bog-standard books? Nope. They're just things that aren't much more special than a clock, say. It has use (entertainment in this case), but there's a billion out there, just like the one you just tossed onto a fire.

You know this is a late response (I was sleeping dammit) and i shouldn't even be making it, but this pisses me off extremely. This is entirely the WRONG way to think about ANTHING. Ever. You never waste a resource, you never waste something you paid money for. Especially things like books which are in this world, given at most a few print runs since no one fucking reads these days. There are not billions of these books i own, there's likely not even millions.

You know what else are just things deep down? People. Like you. Who with this attitude are several times more worthless to me than the absolute worst printed book.

Personally I believe in the sort-of-sanctity of the written word, and sentimental value of books. I have a set of military strategies, bound in silk. They mean about as much to me as that one dog-eared copy of Jingo, which was my first Prattchett. Either of them I'd be pretty darn protective of.
However that goes both ways. I've happily burnt a book - it was my old maths book, and I torched that motherfucker up in a huge cathartic bonfire.
