Not quite, though it would be close. :P

The actual star wars one has the robot on top of the ball, with basically only a magnet on wheels stuck to the inside of the ball. Magnet on the robot and magnet on the inside of the ball insure that the robot doesn't separate from the ball, but the robot uses it's own wheels to keep itself upright IIRC.

next step: the fuck's a vmat

i mean other than a valve material file tha is made up of various textures including normals etc. so okay i know what a vmat is BUT i don't know how to make a proper one

...

actually that shouldn't be hard at all thing's a solid color with lighting attached to it

haha i'm feeling more optimistic now

anyway if you couldn't tell i went like WAYYYYY deeper into dota 2 modding than i ought to have, went straight from two silly sorta dumb heroes to 3v3v3 game mode with plans for grist drops using dummy units with modifiers that make them move towards the nearest unit which can be used to combine basic items plus a recipe all of which must be bought using boondollars which is still just dota 2 gold

...why do i do this with everything i learn

Maybe they didn't have the hardware - like servers or something - to support a sudden influx in players like that and they decided to stick with the plan of debugging rather than release early.
I suppose that's a possibility.  But during my time of playing no server ever went above yellow population status.  Some of the lobbies were full, but only beginner help and chat.  there were at least 10 more lobbies with plenty of space.   I don't know about the backend, but from the player viewable side of things it looked like the population could double again with little issue.

I wish the IP Block stayed dead. Fuck the economy on SEA, sure but I could really use some more friends - active friends on the server that doesn't kick me away every few updates because of patch error.

More on the topic, SEGA is still poising themselves to releasing PSO2 on NA (it being a "TBA" for god knows how long), so I suppose the IP Blocks are more of SEGA being paranoid about stuff.

But the IP Blocks don't really make sense; AS could upgrade their servers to include the western influx of people, but no, let's stick in a server that's mostly 3/10 blocks full, each ship.

Why can't we have good things?

Well... I won't say they aren't... but yeah they totally are.

While gender representation and portrayal in videogames is leagues better then both television and movies combined...

Racially... outside of fighting games...

Just think. They got GOTY for a game that couldn't even handle a moving platform. There are crappy user-made maps with moving terrain "vehicles" for old Source games that can do better than that.
